Domestic Dispute In Laurel County Leads To Drug Arrest

Laurel County Sheriff John Root says deputies were called out to Campground School Road where a couple were reportedly fighting. When officers arrived at the scene they found a woman, later identified as 38 year old Tonya Gail Parms, walking away. Deputies say they also saw her attempt to kick a needle away from her. Deputies say Parms had apparently been in a fight with her husband resulting in a head injury to him. Parms was arrested and charged with assault – domestic violence and possession of drug paraphernalia. She was also wanted on a warrant for nonpayment of fines. She was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
