Pulaski County Woman Pleads Guilty to Wire Fraud

According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office Eastern District of Kentucky, Lisa Gadberry committed wire fraud while employed as a secretary and office manager for the Somerset Pulaski County Development Foundation. Gadberry reportedly spent $142,874.69 in personal charges on a Somerset Pulaski County Development Foundation credit card. The Attorney’s Office says the offenses occurred from November 2012 through May 2019, in which Gadberry “devised a scheme to defraud the organization by means of materially false and fraudulent representations and promises.” A sentencing date for Gadberry has not yet been scheduled. She reportedly faces a maximum of 20 years in prison and will be required to pay a $142,874.69 money judgement. The Somerset Pulaski County Development Foundation has since transitioned to become the Somerset-Pulaski Economic Development Authority.
