Area law enforcement agencies are warning citizens of a jury duty phone scam that is circulating. Reports of scam calls are coming in saying the scammer claims they missed jury duty and there is a warrant for their arrest. The caller requests payment of $500 to clear the warrant. Officials say police will never request personal or financial information or attempt to solicit payment via telephone for any reason. If you receive one of these calls, call your local local law enforcement agency and report it.
