Governor Andy Beshear was in London this week to help break ground on a new type of manufactured home development. Officials with Clayton Homes, along with local and state leaders, announced plans for a new 51-home site that will focus on being energy efficient. The site is expected to be open by the end of the summer. Clayton Homes is partnering with the Department of Energy to produce the energy-efficient homes. The roofs will be made with shingles and solar panels. Officials said people that live in the homes can save almost $860 per year.
