A press release from Baptist Health Corbin announced a seasoned administrator with nearly 40 years of hospital experience has been appointed interim president at the hospital, following the departure of Anthony Powers. Powers’ last day at the hospital was February 6th. Matt Bailey will start work Feb. 12th. Patrick Falvey, chief operating officer for Baptist Health thanked Powers for his contributions during his 25-year career at the hospital. He said they wish him well as he pursues other opportunities. No other details of Powers’ departure have thus far been given. He has served as president of BHC since the fall of 2018. According to Thursday’s release, Bailey has previous administrative leadership experience at Baptist Health Paducah and Baptist Health Floyd. The search for a permanent successor is now underway.
