Representative Hal Rogers announced he will return to Capitol Hill following a car crash in January. Dr. Brian P. Monahan, Attending Physician for the U.S. Congress said Chairman Rogers is recovering very well with continued physical therapy. As a result of his progress, he plans a graduated resumption of his duties on Capitol Hill next week. Rogers issued the following statement:
“In Eastern Kentucky, we’re known for our resilience and mountain grit. When times get tough, we get tougher – and it’s that Appalachian inspiration from back home that is driving me through this recovery to get back to Capitol Hill for our people,” said Congressman Rogers, a senior member of the House Appropriations Committee. “We have a lot of work to do this month as we address the nation’s border crisis and finalize federal funding bills before the March deadlines. Thanks to the help of an excellent medical team and prayers from across the country, I am moving full steam ahead.”
