Knox County Sheriff Mike Smith says deputies responded to reports of a woman being assaulted and dragged into a garage at a home on KY 6 in Gray. Deputies arrived to find 35-year-old Craig Stone standing outside the garage. Police say Stone ran inside the garage and closed the door. Deputies ordered Stone to surrender, then entered the building alongside officers with the Corbin Police Department. Stone and the woman were found in the attic. Police say the woman told them that Stone hit her, chocked her and forced her into the garage. Stone was arrested and charged with kidnapping, strangulation, assault, menacing, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest. He was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.
