Laurel County Sheriff John Root says a theft investigation has led to the arrest of a Corbin man. Last week tools were reportedly stolen from a truck in a business parking lot south of London. The theft was captured on surveillance video showing 42-year-old Toby Gray. Deputies found Gray’s vehicle in a parking lot and watched him get in and leave. Police then pulled him over and found him in possession of suspected methamphetamine and marijuana. Police say the items stolen were in plain view in the front and back seats of the car. Multiple power tools and tool sets were recovered which were believed to be stolen from the tri-county area. Sgt. Brett Reeves took Gray into custody and charged him with theft by unlawful taking and possession of a controlled substance. He was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
