Senators in Eastern Kentucky made stops in the region to announce billions of dollars in funding for improvements. Senate President Robert Stivers said in his 28 years in government, more money is going to be invested in Eastern Kentucky and the state as a whole than ever. Stivers, Senator Brandon Storm, Senator Johnnie Turner and Senator Phillip Wheeler visited London and Whitesburg to make funding announcements to their districts. Sen. Storm appropriated more than $162M to his district, Sen. Stivers appropriated more than $67.3M, Sen. Turner appropriated more than $200M and Sen. Wheeler appropriated more than $117M.
