During their weekly update on Kool Gold’s London News Now, the Laurel County Health Department reported that influenza and COVID numbers remain elevated. Public Services Supervisor, Tyler Caldwell, said from March 4th to March 8th there were 52 new COVID 19 cases and 2 new hospitalizations. Caldwell said, however, that RSV numbers continue to decline. He said, other than staying up to date on vaccinations, it’s important to practice preventive measures like washing your hands, covering your coughs and sneezes and staying home when you’re sick.
