Laurel County Traffic Stop Leads to Drug Arrest

Laurel County Sheriff John Root says Deputy Bobby Roberts arrested a Livingston man during a traffic stop. During the stop on KY 909, a passenger in the vehicle, 41-year-old Robert Gibson, was determined to be under the influence. During the investigation and arrest Gibson was found in possession of suspected methamphetamine and pills believed to be gabapentin. Gibson reportedly told officers that he had taken meth about 2 hours earlier. Gibson was charged with public intoxication – controlled substances, prescription controlled substances not in the proper container and meth possession. He was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
