Laurel County Sheriff John Root says Deputy Nate Bishop arrested a London man who allegedly falsley reported a house fire to 911. Crews with the Swiss Colony Fire Department went to the home where the incident was reported and determined that there was not enough evidence to support the claim that there was a house fire. 34-year-old Jacob Crook was arrested on Willie Green Road. Deputies also determined he was under the influence of a controlled substance. Crook was charged with false report of an incident to law enforcement and public intoxication – controlled substance. He was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
