Whitley County officials say a man entered a guilty plea in connection with the death of a three-year-old. Jordan Taylor pleaded guilty in the 2023 death of Amoura Smallwood on charges of murder, first-degree sodomy and first-degree strangulation. A life sentence without the possibility of parole was recommended for the charge of murder. A life sentence was recommended for the charge of first-degree sodomy. A term of ten years was recommended for the charge of first-degree strangulation. Sentencing for Taylor is set for Tuesday, October 15 at 9 a.m. The man was also charged in the murder of another child in 2020.
