A new mural celebrating the NIBROC festival has been completed in Corbin. Southern Kentucky Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Bruce Carpenter said they wanted to come up with a way to celebrate the festival and all that has gone into it since the beginning in 1952. Artist Jordan Justice worked to include elements of the festival while creating a beautiful work of art. Carpenter said they hope the mural will be a popular photo destination in the downtown area. The mural is located on the corner of Depot St. and Gordon St. This year the NIBROC Festival will be from Aug. 7 until Aug. 10 in downtown Corbin.
