Operation Letcher County Recovery 7.0 is scheduled for March 8th and 9th at Fleming Neon Middle School Gym. Organizers here in the tri-county area will again be taking much needed supplies to flood victims who are still in distress 20 months after the flood occurred. Volunteers will be preparing hot meals from 8 am Saturday until they run out of food in the afternoon. Organizer, Garry Conley, said area restaurants, including Smokey Bear’s, Weaver’s, Lee’s and Wings and Rings, have donated food. Conley said they are also recruiting skilled workers to work one day as carpenters, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, dry wall and cleanup.
