Knox County Sheriff Mike Smith says deputies made more arrests in a Girdler burglary case, bringing the number of arrests in the case to seven. Several stolen items have also been recovered, including firearms. 32-year-old Jacob Wagers, of Woodbine, was charged with receiving stolen property after he allegedly took firearms and other items stolen in the burglary to a residence in Laurel County. A search warrant was obtained by the Laurel County Sheriff’s Office and those items were recovered along with a large quantity of drugs. 31-year-old Jimmy Lunsford, of Girdler, was charged with burglary and theft by unlawful taking. His arrest was also a violation of his parole on drug charges and two prior parole violation charges. He will have to serve what time is left on those charges as well. Wagers and Lunsford were lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.
