Pulaski County Sheriff Bobby Jones says a Somerset man was arrested following a chase on KY-914. Deputies recognized 28-year-old Brenton Helton in a vehicle in the parking lot of the Pulaski County Judicial Center as having parole violation warrants. Police say when they approached the car, Helton backed away and nearly hit a woman in the parking lot. Helton led deputies down several roads and disregarded multiple traffic laws. Police later found his vehicle abandoned in the Thunder Mountain area of Dry Branch Road. The US Marshal Service found Helton in McCreary County the next day. He was charged with several offenses, including running from police and wanton endangerment. Helton was lodged in the Pulaski County Detention Center.
