A Pulaski County man has been charged with multiple charges after a traffic stop in Wayne County. During the stop, a K-9 alerted to the presence of drugs on the passenger side of the vehicle. Deputies say as the passenger in the vehicle, George R. Murphy, of Eubank was being questioned, he gave deputies the name of another person. During a search, officers found two bags of a crystal substance in his pants pocket, another small bag in a container on his keyring and a Kentucky ID which revealed his true identity. Murphy was charged with identity theft, giving an officer false identifying information and trafficking in a controlled substance. He also had two Pulaski County Circuit Court warrants for bail jumping and failure to appear. Murphy was lodged in the Wayne County Detention Center.
