UPDATE: Kentucky State Police say a Laurel County man has been charged after an officer involved shooting in the Lily area earlier this month. Police charged 31-year-old Dylan Southerland, of Keavy, with four counts of attempted murder of a police officer. Police say additional charges are anticipated. The charges stem from a car chase where police say Southerland shot at officers while driving and when stopped at a home. Officers with the London Police Department and the Laurel County Sheriff’s Office also reportedly shot at Southerland. He was hit and later taken to the University of Kentucky Hospital. Southerland was released from the hospital on February 17th. He was then lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
