As Kentucky State Police continue to investigate an officer involved shooting in Laurel County, more information is surfacing. Police said the shooting happened after a car chase lasting around 15 minutes. The chase reportedly ended at a home on Brannon Mill Road near the Lily community. Witnesses say the ensuing gunfire seemed to last forever, frightening residents. The suspect was reportedly taken from the scene to UK Hospital after the shooting. Police said no officers were injured. Police say charges are pending until the suspect is released from the hospital.
