With the Kentucky Primary Election right around the corner, Secretary of State Michael Adams said voter registration has increased. Adams said there were 8,306 new voters that registered to vote from April 1 through the April 22 pre-primary registration deadline. Voter registration among Republicans went up by 2,684. Those registered to vote Republican make up 46 percent of the electorate. Voter registration among Democrats dropped by 716 voters. Democratic registrants make up 43 percent of the electorate. Registration for independent or third-party voting went up by 1,745 voters. Kentuckians can vote early with no-excuse voting on May 16-18. The polls will be open from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Election Day which is May 21st. Polling locations can be found here.
