Wanted Man out of North Carolina Arrested for Trespassing in Laurel County

Laurel County Sheriff John Root says Deputy Zach Allen, Deputy Tommy Houston and Deputy Cyruss McVey were called out to a trespass complaint at a home off Jaw Road. A man was reportedly beating on windows trying to get in. Deputies arrived to find 22-year-old Rodney Merida, of East Bernstadt, there and determined he was trespassing. They also found that he was wanted on a parole violation warrant out of North Carolina. Merida was arrested and in addition to the warrant, was charged with criminal trespassing and disorderly conduct. He was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
