First responders were called out Monday to a fire at a commercial building off of exit 29 near I-75. After several hours and numerous resources called in to help combat the flames, crews still could not put out the flames entirely. During the fire, one firefighter was injured with non-life threatening injuries and was flown to the UK Medical Center to undergo further treatment. Investigators said some homeless people were inside the abandoned building when the fire broke out. Officials returned Tuesday morning to look through the ruins and try to find one unaccounted person. ATF agents also reported to the scene.
